DAN DA DAN Welcomes English Language Lead Voice Actors to the Main Stage at Anime NYC

Meet the Actors Bringing the Highly Anticipated Anime to Life Ahead of the World Premiere of
the English Language Dub

Los Angeles, California, July 29, 2024 – Today Mainichi Broadcasting System, Inc., revealed the English Language Voice Actors for DAN DA DAN's leads, “Momo” and “Okarun”; and announced their attendance at the panel and world premiere of the highly anticipated new hit anime's English language dub, hosted at the Main Stage at Anime NYC on August 24.

Playing the role of Momo in DAN DA DAN's English Dub is actor and singer, Abby Trott. Best known for portraying Nezuko in Demon Slayer, Annette in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Spiral in X-Men '97, Ivy in Netflix's Carmen Sandiego, and singing the English version of "Lifelight," the theme for Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Abby is no stranger to the anime space with some of her other roles including Shizuka Mikazuki in ZOM 100: Bucket List of the Dead, Machi in Hunter X Hunter, Akane in My Love Story with Yamada-kun at LVL 999, and Yoh Asakura in Shaman King (2021). “You are not ready for DAN DA DAN…”, teased Trott, “As soon as I saw a clip of Science SARU's immaculate animation, I knew this was something special. This show is absolutely electric. It's hilarious, disturbing, beautiful, weird, dramatic, and raw - and I'm so excited to be voicing Momo in the animated telling of this EPIC manga! Ready or not…”

Joining Abby to play the role of Okarun in DAN DA DAN's English Dub is AJ Beckles who first hopped into the pro Voice-Acting scene by voicing Takemichi Hanagaki in Tokyo Revengers and Shiki Tademaru in Kemono Jihen. Since his debut, his notability grew further by playing Michizou Tachihara in Bungo Stray Dogs, Kaname Tosen in Bleach, and Jaxon in Beyblade X. “Getting to be a part of DAN DA DAN in any way is a dream come true. I've been a fan of the manga for a couple of years now,” shared Beckles. “Hanae-san is an incredible actor! The honor of actually being able to play his counterpart as Okarun in the dub was something I never could have imagined being granted to me! Tatsu-san is a master of his craft, and I truly think this is one of those roles/stories that only comes around only once or twice in someone's life and I am treating it with the utmost respect and care because of that. I can't wait to show everyone my take on this Awkward fellow, and I want to assure every fan that's been waiting for this adaptation that they have nothing at all to worry about. This will be a masterpiece!”

Fans attending the Anime NYC panel will be the first in the world to view the first episode of the upcoming series' English Dub on August 24.
