Trigger Brings Together an All-Star Staff for New Anime 'New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt' Set to Air and Stream in 2025

July 2024 (Tokyo, Japan): The new anime series 'New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT' is set to air and stream in 2025 and was announced on the Official New PANTY ＆ STOCKING with GARTERBELT X (formally Twitter) account with a teaser visual and title logo.

After approximately 14 years since its original broadcast, the much-talked-about MADE IN JAPAN cartoon anime 'Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt' is set to return with a new animation series in 2025. Alongside this exciting announcement, the teaser visual and title logo have been unveiled, and the official website, official X, and official Instagram accounts are now live.
The official title of the new animation is 'New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT.'
The teaser visual features PANTY, STOCKING, with their companions BRIEF, GARTERBELT and CHUCK, as well as their adversaries KNEESOCKS, SCANTY and FASTENER, all gather together. The new pop and stylish logo is sure to catch your eye.
Additionally, the main staff for the new series has been revealed, and their first talk video has been uploaded on the TRIGGER channel on YouTube.
In the video, director Hiroyuki Imaishi, series composition and concept planner Hiromi Wakabayashi, character designer and art director Shigeto Koyama, and character designer/animation director Sushio and Masaru Sakamoto, discuss the visuals and their thoughts on the new series.

Main Staff Information Released!
The main staff for the new series has been revealed. The animation will be produced by TRIGGER, known for works such as 'Kill la Kill,' the movie 'PROMARE,' and 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.' Hiroyuki Imaishi will return as the director. Atushi Nishigori, who was the original character designer for the previous series, will also return. Hiromi Wakabayashi will continue to handle the series composition. Shigeto Koyama, who worked on the character design for the movie 'PROMARE,' Sushio, who served as a character designer for 'Kill la Kill,' and Masaru Sakamoto, who designed characters for the movie 'GRIDMAN UNIVERSE' and the 'SSSS.GRIDMAN' series, will be responsible for character design. Additionally, Yoh Yoshinari, a prominent creator at TRIGGER, will join as a special specialist.
Expectations are high for this new project from the globally acclaimed animation Studio Trigger.
