Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! Launches for Nintendo Switch Today
IRVINE, Calif. – April 26, 2024 – SEGA®️ is excited to announce Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! launches today on the Nintendo Switch family of systems! Watch the launch trailer here.
Those who order the Digital Standard Edition on Nintendo eShop will unlock the following:
*Base game
*A set of four Stamps featuring Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira
*Stamps are used for player communication in-game and are available to use in the “Sweep the Board” game mode.

“Swordsmith Village Arc” Board Information
The Day One patch (detailed below) adds a new board to the game, themed around the Swordsmith Village! Swordsmiths such as Haganezuka, Kanamori, and Tecchin are around to support players in various ways. That includes Kotetsu, who holds the key to the battle-type mechanical doll “Yoriichi Type Zero.” At night, the powerful demons Gyokko and Hantengu will appear, awaiting all four players who dare to challenge them!
In addition, two new minigames will be made available:
*Food Delivery! – Deliver plates of food to a hungry Mitsuri! Players must keep a close eye on Mitsuri's expressions as she eats. Mess up and get stunned. The player who delivers the most plates wins.
*Mask Match – Find the specific swordsmith mask! The player who finds the most masks wins.

Please note a Day One patch* (v1.01) is also available, which adds the following:
*Online functionality (online play)**
*Local wireless functionality (local wireless play)
*A new virtual game board based on the Swordsmith Village Arc
*2 new minigames, 2 new boss fights, and new Player Card titles and wallpapers
*“Player Cards” are in-game profiles that can be customized with a variety of titles and wallpapers, which are then shared with other players locally and online.
*Other adjustments and bug fixes
*An internet connection is required to download and install the Day One patch.
**A paid subscription to Nintendo Switch Online is required to play online.
As noted above, players must download and install v1.01 to access the online and local wireless features of the game.

The anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba makes its virtual board game debut! Enjoy events and minigames with up to four players either locally or online.
*Roll the dice and aim to become the strongest Demon-Slayer swordsman! – Iconic locations from the anime, like Mt. Fujikasane and Asakusa, appear as boards in this game. Advance on the game board by rolling the dice! The game board switches between day and night. During the day, prepare for the night with events and minigames. At night, you will search for demons to defeat.
*Take control of iconic characters! – Choose your favorite characters from the Demon Slayer Corps., including Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the Hashira! Nezuko appears on the game board to aid players as a support character!
*Fight demons by waving the Joy-Con™! – Face off against demons like Akaza in minigames and swing the Joy-Con like the Nichirin Sword to attack.
