Crunchyroll to Simulcast Stella Women's Academy, High School Division Class C3 Anime for Summer 2013

(July 2, 2013) – Crunchyroll, Inc., has acquired the anime series Stella Women's Academy, High School Division Class C3 as part of its summer simulcasts, and is set to broadcast every Monday starting on July 8, at 9:30p.m. Pacific Time for its premium members, with free members able to watch one week later. Stella Women's Academy, High School Division Class C3 will be available to Crunchyroll's audience in the following territories: USA, Canada, South Africa, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
Originally based off of a manga written by Ikoma and illustrated by Tomomoka Midori, Stella Women's Academy, High School Division Class C3 centers around a group of high school girls who play airsoft. It is being produced by heavyweight studio GAINAX, of Evangelion fame, and is directed by Masayoshi Kawajiri, with character designs by Medaka Box animator Manami Umeshita.
The principle cast includes six girls: Karila Hatsuse, Honoka Mutsu, Yachiyo Hinata, Sonora Kashima, Rento Kirishima, and Yura Yamato. Ai Kayano, Meiko “Menma” Honma in Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, is cast as Karila, Chiwa Saito, Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka, will be Honoka, Madoka Yonezawa, also known as Izumi Akazawa in Another, is Yachiyo, Miyuki Sawashiro, Hakaze Kusaribe from Blast of Tempest, will be Sonora, Yui Makino, who also voiced Sakura in Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, is Yura, and making her anime voice-acting debut, Rima Nishizaki will be cast as Rento.
