Anime Voice Actress Wendee Lee to Attend Phoenix Comicon
Voice actress Wendee Lee is onboard for Phoenix Comicon
Phoenix, AZ Friday November 19th: Well known voice actress Wendee Lee is headed to Phoenix Comicon in 2011. Lee has starred in countless hit series such as Lucky Star, Digimon, Bleach, Naruto, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Cowboy Bebop. She is also well known for her roles in video games, such as Black Rose of the .hack (pronounced ‘Dot Hack’) video game series.
“Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop will be here!” said Jillian Squires, Marketing Director.
Wendee Lee was born and raised in Southern California and always knew she wanted to be an actress. Her break into animation came when a friend let her sit in on a recording session for Harmony Gold, which ended up being an audition that landed her first anime role in Robotech. Throughout the years, Wendee Lee has become one of the most widely known voice actors in the world of anime. Lee eventually branched out to ADR script writing and finally voice directing. Aside from anime and video games, Wendee has been directing everything from live shows and music videos.
“Wendee Lee seriously rocks. What can't she do?” said Matt Solberg, Convention Director.
Phoenix Comicon is the signature pop culture event of the southwest, presenting guests and programming for hobbyists by attracting the top segments of the comics, anime, sci-fi, film, tv, and gaming industries. Entering its tenth year, Phoenix Comicon is expected to draw over 20,000 attendees to its May 26-29, 2011 convention held at the Phoenix Convention Center and Hyatt Regency in Downtown Phoenix.
