San Francisco, Calif. – Crunchyroll, Inc., announced today the streaming rights acquisition of Cardfight!! Vanguard from TMS ENTERTAINMENT, LTD., one of Japan's oldest and most famous anime studios and licensors of blockbuster audiovisual entertainment. Title stars current voice acting personality Tsubasa Yonaga in the lead role of Aichi Sendo, and features the highly anticipated single, “Vanguard” by the legendary JAM Project as its opening song. More information is available at http://www.Crunchyroll.com/vanguard.
Crunchyroll's Japan office President Vince Shortino said: “For anyone who grew up playing TCGs and watching their toons in the 90's, this is a kind of all-star team-up 10 years in the making. We have Mr. Card Game himself in Akira Itō, a great director in Hatsuki Tsuji who earned his metal animating video game adaptations then directing card game mega franchieses and we even have the legendary JAM Project providing what will probably be the most sung anime OP at karaoke parlors this winter!”
TMS Entertainment, Ltd.'s Katsuki Masai said: “We knew Crunchyroll would be a perfect first window for Cardfight!! Vanguard when we realized that the show would have a dual appeal: both to youth and adults, so it was a natural decision to start streaming there. We look forward to the reaction it will get online.”
Cardfight!! Vanguard will be available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
