DOFUS 2.0 to Be Introduced in Japan at Tokyo Game Show
Roubaix, France - September, 15th 2009 – ANKAMA is proud to announce that it will host a public stand for the very first time at Tokyo Game Show from September 24th to 27th, in order to introduce the upcoming Japanese version of DOFUS 2.0, called DOFUS – 12の世界 (juuni no sekai) – in its Japanese version.
This follows the creation of Ankama Japan in April 2009. Already employing over 30 people, Ankama Japan is mainly responsible for:
- Localization, support and promotion of ANKAMA's games
- Creation and development of new animation projects
- Creation and acquisition of new manga projects and titles
Ankama Japan looks forward to taking part in the Tokyo Game Show and becoming part of the games industry in Japan.
Tokyo Game Show is the most popular Japanese games event and gathered in 2008 more than 190 000 visitors in 2 days. DOFUS 2.0 will have a dedicated stand (5-N34) in the Advance Mobile and PC corner.
Since its official release in September 2004, DOFUS (www.dofus.com) has experienced exponential growth. Now available in 7 languages including French, English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Italian, the game has gathered over 20 million players worldwide, and the Japanese version is scheduled for release in 2010.
DOFUS 2.0 is a completely revamped version of DOFUS, featuring more detailed graphics, new animations, improved performance and gameplay in order to give players a renewed experience of their favorite game.
