Phoenix Comicon announces Art and Costume Contest Tour

The Phoenix Comicon will be holding a series of art and costume
contests at local stores from December 2nd through January 13th.

“The Art Contest Tour was such a success in 2006 that we are bringing
it back for 2007. The stores and all the participants really enjoyed
these events and activities. They are truly fun and a great way to
win tickets to the Phoenix Comicon in January,” Art Contest
Coordinators Gareth and Jacinda HYDE said.

The art contests range from the Captivating Color Contest (a no timed
coloring contest) to the Dynamic Doodle Contest (a 15 minute timed
sketch contest). The Contests are designed for all ages and skill
levels. These are two of the contests that will be featured at the
upcoming Convention in January.

In addition to the Art Contest, the Phoenix Comicon adds a Costume
Contest to the Tour.

“The Costume Contest was such a blast at the Convention in 2006, I
jumped at the idea of adding a Costume Contest to the Art Contest
Tour. I am excited to be playing a larger role in this Tour by
holding a Costume Contest at each event. I cannot wait to see all the
great costumes our attendees are creating,” Anime Director Cira
Peterson said.

The schedule of events is as follows:
