PLAY! is coming to Hartford

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., November 2, 2006 - Jason Michael Paul Productions, Inc. has announced that the city of Hartford will be the next confirmed stop on the world tour of PLAY! A Video Game Symphony. A new concert series that draws its scores from a catalogue of blockbuster video games, PLAY! will be performed at The Bushnell on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 8:00 p.m.

Brought to vibrant life by a full orchestra and choir, the PLAY! concert features award-winning orchestral music from popular video game titles including Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, The Legend Of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., World of Warcraft, Sonic The Hedgehog, Shenmue. Outstanding graphics on large screens above the orchestra will accompany the scores to highlight memorable moments from the games.

After the success of Dear Friends - Music from FINAL FANTASY in 2005 and now PLAY!, it is obvious that there is a reputation for a quality show involving video game music", says Jason Michael Paul, producer of PLAY!. "The Bushnell in Hartford is a diverse performing arts and community organization which is a perfect match for what it is we are building with such a new genre of music. This stunning performing arts complex has built a reputation as a destination for all types of music and music lovers. Video game fans and serious music aficionados alike will feel welcome there."

The two-hour concert will be performed by a symphony and chorus and conducted by Grammy Award-winning artist Arnie Roth. "It's no secret among game lovers and connoisseurs of orchestral music that some of today's most thrilling scores are coming out of the video game genre," says Roth. "This spectacular concert series speaks to the growing popularity and artistic sophistication of this form of entertainment and will attract people of all generations to some of the world's greatest concert halls."

Tickets to the PLAY! concert in Hartford will be available starting Monday, November 6 at 10 a.m. online at www.bushnell.org or by calling The Bushnell's Box Office at 860-987-5900 or in person at the Box Office located at 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford.
