In Klezmer and the Eisner Award-winning The Rabbi's Cat, Sfar explores the full potential of the medium, bringing historical tales to life with expansive watercolor art and sly, witty magical realism; in Vampire Loves and the Dungeon series, he tells poignant, fantastical tales with charming, relatable characters; in Sardine in Outer Space and The Little Vampire series, he brings comics back to kids, telling intelligent, subversive stories bursting with madcap humor. A master of every aspect of the form, Sfar creates comics for everyone.
In his presentations, Joann Sfar shares his perspective, his methods, and his passion for the graphic novel, discussing art, story-telling, and his love for the medium.
