Bandai Entertainment Welcomes Anime Fans to Anime Expo
BANDAI ENTERTAINMENT WELCOMES ANIME FANS FROM
AROUND THE WORLD TO ANIME EXPO 2005
June 30, 2005 (Cypress, CA) – Bandai Entertainment the leading distributor of Japanese animation on DVD home video and broadcast television welcomes anime fans from around the world to Anime Expo 2005 held in Anaheim, California. As one of the largest attending industry exhibitor, the Bandai booth will be buzzing with activity throughout the Anime Expo weekend (July 1-4).
Bandai Entertainment will be giving out plenty of swag for anime fans including: Scrapped Princess posters, Scrapped Princess T-shirts, Infinite Ryvius Plushies, Pencil Boards, and more! Representatives from Bandai Card Games will also be on hand to demonstrate game play for new collectible card games: Gundam War, One Piece, and Zatchbell. The Bandai booth will also be featuring clips from some of the most anticipated new anime series coming out from Japan:
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig – The second season of the popular Cartoon Network Adult Swim series, coming soon on DVD this Fall 2005. The Shirow Masamune's groundbreaking cyberpunk thriller is back in an all new series! Major Motoko Kusanagi and Section 9 have fought countless International and Virtual terrorism, but when a group calling themselves the ‘Individual Eleven’ emerges, Japan itself is threatened.
Eureka Seven – Co-Produced by Bandai Entertainment, Eureka Seven is an impressive new series by anime powerhouse, BONES studio (Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain) and boasts an all-star creative staff including talented director Tomoki Kyoda (Rahxephon), veteran mechanical designer Shoji Kawamori (Macross, Macross Plus), and veteran character designer Kenichi Yoshida (Cowboy Bebop the Movie). The story of ‘Eureka Seven’ centers on Renton, a young man whose feelings of dissatisfaction and frustration grows as his mundane life clouds his vision for his future and begins to dream about flying around the world. It isn't until one day, a large human-like mech falls from the sky in front of young Renton and appearing from the depths of the machine is a beautiful young girl named Eureka. And as she asks the dumbfounded Renton for repairs, the two will embark upon a fantastic journey into the unknown.
IGPX – The highly anticipated original co-production between Cartoon Network, Production I.G (Jin-Roh, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex), and Bandai Entertainment. In IGPX, the year is 2048 and the “IGPX” has become the world's most-popular sport. Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny – Produced by SUNRISE and broadcast on television in Japan, Gundam SEED Destiny chronicles the events after the original Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series - Cosmic Era 73 - The bloody war has finally subsided with old friends remembered, new friends made, and strong allegiances formed - However a new conflict threatens to bring this moment of peace to a grinding halt. Shin Asuka is the newest member of ZAFT and as the wheels of politics continue to swirl around him, a burning desire rages within him waiting to explode.
Bandai Entertainment will be hosting a special panel discussion on Saturday (July 2) 2:45-3:45 PM at LP1. Attendees will get a chance to hear about upcoming title plans and new acquisition/co-production announcements. Representatives will also be speaking on the current state of the anime industry in North America and more! A special video presentation is planned and giveaways will be held throughout the panel discussion. Questions from the audiences are welcomed.

Cartoon Network will be on hand to unveil a sneak peek into the world of IGPX and answer questions regarding this highly anticipated anime series. The panel will be held on Friday (July 1) 3:30-4:30 PM at LP4.
Bandai Games Inc. will also be unveiling the brand new “Gundam™ vs. Zeta Gundam™” for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system on the show floor. Gundam fans will get a glimpse of one of the hottest games based on one of Japan's longest running space dramas on television, “Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam” for the PlayStation®2 is a fighting game featuring more than 55 mobile suits and over 200 missions. Players can now follow the extensive timeline from the series, chronicling the demise of the Earth Federation as rival factions clash for control of Earth and its space colonies. With five gameplay modes including Co-op and Versus, “Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam” offers the first transformable Zeta Gundam mobile suits as players challenge
