Japan-A-Radio Renews 'Unwound' for a Second Season
JAPAN-A-RADIO RENEWS ‘UNWOUND’ FOR SECOND SEASON
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (December 18, 2004) – San Francisco-based productions company, Project 760 Productions and MiS Productions' Internet radio channel, Japan-ARadio, has announced the renewal of the successful anime talk radio program, Unwound. The terms of the renewal include the subsequent extensions of the contracts for hosts Jesse Barredo and Michael Garcia, and an order of twenty-five episodes to begin production on January 1, 2005.
The series was picked up for exclusive broadcast rights by Japan-A-Radio in June of this year. Since its premiere, Unwound has been well-received by listeners and improved its format from scripted to unscripted, and extending episode length from thirty to sixty minutes. Episodes have featured listener feedback, convention coverage of Anime Expo 2004 and the Second Annual Japantown Anime Faire, and special guests such as Animerica Magazine's Managing Editor, Urian Brown, prolific author Patrick Macias, and the Macross Compendium's Egan Loo.
The final episode of the first season will be broadcast on December 19, 2004 at 7pm PST, featuring an “old school” review of the Sailor Moon saga, and returning guest Egan Loo. Unwound's second season will premiere on February 6, 2005 at 7pm PST on Japan-ARadio with reviews of chrno crusade and Yumeria.
