Cartoon Network India Teases One Piece Anime

Cartoon Network's Indian Facebook page teased the One Piece anime in a post on Tuesday with the caption “Guess what's sailing to Cartoon Network India?” The company has not yet confirmed that it will air the anime but has also posted about its presence at Mumbai Comic Con on April 20 and April 21 with a post with One Piece characters.

Crunchyroll added episodes 892-1077 of the anime in India on September 30 and began streaming episode 1078 onwards from October 1.

The ongoing anime adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga premiered in 1999. Crunchyroll describes the anime:

Monkey D. Luffy refuses to let anyone or anything stand in the way of his quest to become the king of all pirates. With a course charted for the treacherous waters of the Grand Line and beyond, this is one captain who'll never give up until he's claimed the greatest treasure on Earth: the Legendary One Piece!

Netflix added the 2014 special edition of the 2008 One Piece: Episode of Chopper + Fuyu ni Saku, Kiseki no Sakura anime film, the One Piece: Strong World anime film, and the One Piece Film Z anime in India earlier this year. The streaming service added the One Piece Film Gold anime movie in India on January 15. It added the One Piece Film Red anime in India on December 15. The film opened in India in October 2022.
