Akebi's Sailor Uniform, Fire Force Anime Get Tamil, Telugu Dubs

Crunchyroll began streaming Tamil and Telugu dubs for the television anime of HIRO's Akebi's Sailor Uniform (Akebi-chan no Sailor Fuku) manga as well as for the anime of Atsushi Ohkubo's Fire Force (En En no Shōbōtai) manga on Wednesday.

Akebi's Sailor Uniform premiered in January 2022. Crunchyroll is also streaming a Hindi dub for the anime.

Miyuki Kuroki (Her Blue Sky, The Idolm@ster SideM) directed the anime at studio CloverWorks. Rino Yamazaki (production advancement for Medaka Box, screenplay for DARLING in the FRANXX) both wrote and oversaw the series scripts, and Megumi Kouno (animation director for DARLING in the FRANXX, Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia) designed the characters. Kana Utatane composed the music.

The manga follows Komichi Akebi and her classmates at a prestigious girls middle school, following their adolescent lives and their growth.

HIRO launched the manga in 2019 on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website. The manga has more than 500,000 copies in print.

The first season of the Fire Force anime premiered in July 2019 and ran for 24 episodes. Crunchyroll added the anime in India in December 2022 with Hindi and Indian English dubs.

The series had a "second chapter" that premiered in July 2020 and ran for 24 episodes. The series is getting a third season.

Atsushi Ohkubo (Soul Eater) launched the Fire Force manga series in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in September 2015, and he ended the series on February 2022. The manga's 34th and final volume shipped in Japan in May 2022.
