This year's 45th issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine revealed on Monday that Wataru Midori's manga adaptation of Hiroki Nagaoka's Kyōjō (Classroom) novels has entered its final arc.
The police academy manga centers on a group of cadets overseen by a harsh training instructor named Kimichika Kazama, who pushes the cadets to extremes and washes them out for even the slightest infractions.
Midori launched the manga in Big Comic Spirits in December 2020. Shogakukan published the manga's third compiled book volume on August 27, and will publish the fourth volume on October 29.
Nagaoka began the ongoing novel series in 2013, and it currently has five volumes. The novels also inspired two seasons of a live-action series that premiered in January 2020 and January 2021, respectively.
Yen Press licensed Midori's Run on Your New Legs (Atarashii Ashi de Kakenukero. ) manga and will release the first volume in February 2022.
