Muse Asia Streams Pui Pui Molcar Anime, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime 2nd Season

Pui Pui Molcar began streaming on Tuesday, 2nd season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime on Thursday

Muse Asia began streaming Shinei Animation's Pui Pui Molcar stop-motion series on Tuesday. The channel also began streaming the second season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime on Thursday.

Muse Asia previously streamed both anime in Janurary.

The Pui Pui Molcar stop-motion series premiered on January 5 within TV Tokyo's Kinder TV children's variety program. The series centers on guinea pigs who have become cars (the title word "Molcar" combines "car" with "morumotto," the Japanese word for "guinea pig" and a variant of the English word "marmot"). Netflix began streaming the series worldwide outside of some Asian territories in March.

The series utilizes stop-motion animated puppets made of wool felt.

This series marked Tomoki Misato's directorial debut on an animated television series. Misato also wrote the script, and he worked on the storyboards along with Hana Ono and Katsura Satō. The series' animators included Misato, Ikuko Iwatsuki, Katsura Satō, and Makoto Takano. The artists included Misato, Ikuko Iwatsuki, Katsura Satō, Harune Satō, and Michiko Kaihatsu. Shota Kowatsu composed the music.

Shinei Animation produces Crayon Shin-chan and Doraemon, among other titles.

Wit Studio established a stop-motion studio with Misato in December 2020.

Shinei Animation will release a compilation film titled Tobidase! Narase! Pui Pui Molcar that will open in Japan on July 22.

The second anime season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime premiered on January 12 in Japan.

Muse Asia had initially announced that the anime season will stream on its channel on its premiere date but later changed its original streaming date to January 5. The company describes the season:

A country built by our main character Rimuru and the many monsters who look up to him – the Jura Tempest Federation –, through agreements and trade with neighbouring countries, is the ideal “country where humans and monsters can walk alongside."

Rimuru has a tendency to “feel kindly towards humans”, because of its former nature as a human being ...

However, there is a clear "hostility toward demons" that exists in this world.
When faced with that unreasonable reality, Rimuru makes its choice.

"Is there something that you don't want to lose?"

The first television anime of Taiki Kawakami's manga, which in turn adapted author Fuse and artist Mitz Vah's light novel series, premiered in October 2018. The anime specifically adapted and is based on Kawakami's manga adaptation of the original novels.

The manga has also inspired five original anime DVDs (OADs). The first OAD shipped with the 12th volume of the manga in July 2019. The second OAD shipped in Japan with the manga's 13th volume in December 2019. The third, fourth, and fifth OADs were bundled with the manga's 14th, 15th, and 16th volumes. The third OAD was bundled with the 14th manga volume in March 2020. The 15th and 16th manga volumes (with their accompanying OADs) shipped last July and on November 9, respectively.
