Sony Center's website states that pre-orders for the PlaySation 5 restock in India will be processed on May 24. Customers can pick up their orders from physical Sony Centers on May 24 while online retailers such as Amazon, Flipkart, Games The Shop, Prepaid Gamer Card, Reliance Digital, Croma, and Vijay Sales may delay deliveries due to varied restrictions across the country related to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
The PlayStation 5 console restocks went live for pre-orders in India on May 17 at 12:00 p.m. IST. As of press time, Reliance Digital is still listing the console for sale; Sony Center, Amazon, Flipkart, Prepaid Gamer Card, Games The Shop, and Croma are listing the console as being sold out or unavailable.
NDTV Gadgets 360 reported last week via Bloomberg News that Sony revealed in a briefing after reporting its financial results on April 28 that the PlayStation 5 will remain in short supply through 2022.
Pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 console initially went live on January 12 at 12:00 p.m. IST and were sold out within minutes. The console officially launched in India on February 2.
The PlayStation 5 is priced at ₹49,990, and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition (which does not include the disc slot) is priced at ₹39,990 in India.
