Muse Asia describes the anime:
Tokaku Azuma is a heartless teenage assassin on a mission of death. She's been sent to a prestigious, all-girls boarding school to compete in an assassination game against eleven other beautiful killers. Their heinous mission: send the innocent and cheerful Haru Ichinose to an early grave. But when Tokaku finds herself strangely drawn to her intended target, she must utilize her lethal skills to keep her new friend alive – and Haru must place her life in the ruthless, cold-blooded hands of the very woman sent to kill her.
The anime premiered in Japan in April 2014.
Keizō Kusakawa (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha films, il sole penetra le illusioni ~ Day Break Illusion, Ro-Kyu-Bu!, Sekirei) directed the anime at diomedéa. Kiyoko Yoshimura wrote the series scripts, and Naomi Ide served as the character designer and chief animation director.
The anime is based on Yun Kouga (Loveless, Gestalt) and Sunao Minakata's manga of the same name. They launched the manga in Kadokawa's Monthly Newtype magazine in September 2012, and Kadokawa shipped the manga's fifth and final compiled volume in December 2016. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga and shipped the final volume in English in August 2017.
