posted on by Andrew Osmond
In an updated message, Anime Limited has announced that there will be additional and rearranged cinema screenings of the film Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! Kurenai Densetsu (KONOSUBA - God's blessing on this wonderful world! Crimson Legend). Most screenings are this coming Tuesday, followed by some on Wednesday and in January.
According to comments on the Anime Limited blog, there were problems with some earlier screenings of the film. Reportedly, at Croydon Purley Way and Harrow, the screenings were cancelled because of technical problems. At Odeon Greenwich, the beginning of the screening was in the wrong aspect ratio, cutting off the subtitles.

The film Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! Kurenai Densetsu (KONOSUBA - God's blessing on this wonderful world! Crimson Legend) opened in Japan on July 12. Takaomi Kanasaki returned from the previous two anime seasons to direct the film at J.C. Staff (Studio DEEN animated the two TV anime series). Makoto Uezu returned to write the scripts, Koichi Kikuta returned to adapt Kurone Mishima's original character designs for animation, and Masato Kōda returned to compose the music.
The original KONOSUBA (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! or KONOSUBA - God's blessing on this wonderful world!) light novels by Natsume Akatsuki center on Kazuma, a shut-in student who dies in a traffic accident, but meets the goddess Aqua after death. He is given the chance to reincarnate in a fantasy world and can keep one thing with him. When he decides to choose Aqua herself, they are both transported to their new lives. The pair go on quests to earn just enough to buy food, shelter, and clothing, and eventually hire the sorceress Megumin and swordswoman Darkness, who they quickly learn are just as useless.
