Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ website published the 46th chapter of Nakamaru's One Piece Koby ni no Kobiyama: Urifutatsu Nagi no Ōhihō (Kobiyama, Who Looks Like Koby: Two Piece in a Pod) manga on Monday, which reveals that the manga will reach its "climax" in the next chapter on July 1.
The manga is a spinoff of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga, and it launched on Shonen Jump+ in June 2018. The manga is a serialization of a one-shot that Nakamaru published in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2017. The manga centers on a middle school student who looks exactly like the manga's character Koby. Shueisha published the manga's first volume on December 4, and the second and third volumes will both ship on July 4.
Several other One Piece spinoff manga were announced last summer. Yoshikazu Amami (Battle Spirits Burning Soul) launched an "officially authorized" spinoff manga titled Chin Piece in Shueisha's Saikyō Jump magazine in June 2018. Semimaru Aburakōji launched a crossover manga with the YouTuber group Fischer's in Saikyō Jump last August.
Daiki Ihara began the Koisuru One Piece (Loving One Piece) gag manga on Shonen Jump+ on the same day that One Piece Koby ni no Kobiyama: Urifutatsu Nagi no Ōhihō launched last June.
One Piece celebrated its 20th anniversary in July 2017, and the anime adaptation is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
