Anime Expo announced on Thursday that it will host anime director Harume Kosaka and Arc System Works producer Takeshi Yamanaka.
Kosaka will participate in Frontier Works' panel on July 6 at 7:30 p.m. The panel will preview the upcoming anime Keishichō Tokumu-bu Tokushu Kyōaku-han Taisaku-Shitsu Dai-Nana-ka -Tokunana- (Special Crime Investigation Unit Special 7), which Kosaka is directing. The panel will also screen a "new episode" of Hyperdimension Neptunia, and will also preview the upcoming anime Hachinantte Sore wa Nai Deshō! (The 8th son? Are you kidding me?).
Compile Heart had announced in March that it will produce a new original video anime (OVA) project for the Hyperdimension Neptunia (Chō Jigen Game Neptune The Animation) television anime series. The OVA is titled Chō Jigen Game Neptune The Animation: Nepu no Natsuyasumi (Nep's Summer Vacation).
The Tokunana anime will premiere this fall, while Hachinantte Sore wa Nai Deshō! will premiere next year.
Yamanaka will participate in a panel and an autograph signing.
Arc System Works is perhaps best known for its Guilty Gear and BlazBlue fighting game franchises, as well as publishing fighting games from other developers. Yamanaka joined Arc System Works in 2006 as a game designer, and has contributed to the stories of both of Arc System Works' flagship fighting game franchises. He is currently working as Line Producer at Arc System Works, overseeing the development of the company's fighting games. He is also the producer for the Kill la Kill IF game.
This year's Anime Expo will take place from July 4 to 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and the surrounding area.
