posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The official website for the Crayon Shin-chan anime films began streaming a special promotional video on Tuesday for Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Shinkon Ryokō Hurricane ~Ushinawareta Hiroshi~ (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Honeymoon Hurricane, Lost Hiroshi), the series' 27th film. The video previews Aimyon's theme song "Haru no Hi" (Spring Day).
The film will open in Japan on April 19.
The anime is set in Australia and follows the Nohara family on an inexpensive and family-friendly honeymoon trip that Misae discovered. Instead of the romantic trip they envisioned, Misae, Hiroshi, and their children get wrapped up in a dangerous adventure. Hiroshi is the center of the story and becomes the key to a treasure. Hiroshi is taken away soon after the family's arrival in Australia. The remaining family members must rescue him while dealing with a mysterious masked group and treasure hunters.
The film's previously revealed guest cast includes:
Yoshio Kojima as himself, a tourist vacationing in Australia who is kidnapped by a masked tribe who mistake him for the bridegroom spoken of in the legend told on the "Great Babab Reef" island.
Ryuchell (left in image below) and Peco (right) as themselves, a newlywed couple who took the same honeymoon tour as the Nohara family.
Houchu Ohtsuka as the chief of the masked tribe
Banjō Ginga as Great Pickel, a legend among treasure hunters
Akio Ohtsuka as Bulldozer Johnny, a treasure hunter
Kumiko Watanabe as Kao Kosugi, a tour guide for the Noharas
Nobunaga Shimazaki as Ikemen, a treasure hunter who can't stop taking selfies
Aimyon as herself
The film will be Yumiko Kobayashi's first for the franchise in the title role. She took over the role of protagonist Shinnosuke Nohara in the television anime last July after previous voice actress Akiko Yajima departed from the role. The other main cast members are reprising their roles for the film.
Masakazu Hashimoto, who directed three previous Crayon Shin-chan films, is returning to direct the film. Kimiko Ueno is also returning to write the script with Munenori Mizuno (Doraemon, Midnight Crazy Trail). Shinei Animation, TV Asahi, ADK, and Futabasha are credited for production.
