Scums Wish Released Monday on Blu-ray
posted on by Andrew Osmond
On Monday March 11, MVM will release a Blu-ray edition of the series Scum's Wish. Sentai Filmworks has previously described the story:
At first glance, high school sweethearts Hanabi Yasuraoka and Mugi Awaya appear to have the perfect relationship and while the two enjoy each other's physical companionship, they are merely using each other to feel anything other than pain as both Hanabi and Mugi are in love with other people. As this tangled web of emotions continues to ensnare others, viewers are exposed to the painful side of love, making this series often difficult to watch yet impossible to look away.
Masaomi Andō (School-Live!, Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle) directed the anime series and Makoto Uezu (KONOSUBA, Akame ga KILL!, The Heroic Legend of Arslan) handled series composition at Studio Lerche (Monster Musume, School-Live!). Keiko Kurosawa (Re:␣Hamatora, Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle) designed the characters and served as chief animation director, and Masaru Yokoyama (BBK/BRNK, The Lost Village) composed the music.
Anime Limited will release a standard Blu-ray edition of the anime adaptation of Kozue Amano's Amanchu! manga. The manga followed the everyday lives of the members of a diving club in the city of Itō, in Shizuoka Prefecture. The story features the same high school and some of the characters from Amano's earlier Roman Club manga.
Junichi Satō (Sailor Moon, Princess Tutu, Aria the Animation) served as chief director. Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile, Bakuman.) directed the series at J.C. Staff, with scripts by Deko Akao (Yes! Precure 5, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Snow White with the Red Hair). Yōko Itō (Love Stage!!) designed the characters.
