Tokyo 7th Sisters' Ayami Yoshii Retires From Voice Acting

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Yoshii came into poor health in late 2018

The official website for Donuts' Tokyo 7th Sisters smartphone game announced on Thursday that Ayami Yoshii is retiring from voice acting at the end of March. Yoshii voiced the character Kyōko U. Uesugi in the game.

The announcement said that Yoshii had poor physical health at the end of last year. After discussions between Yoshii and staff, it was decided that she would retire and graduate from the role of Kyōko. Yoshii provided a personal message for her supporters alongside the announcement.

A new cast member will take on the role of Kyōko after Yoshii's retirement. The release of the franchise's new single CD "Le☆S☆Ca," which was slated for April, has been delayed due to the cast change.

Yoshiii has also voiced characters in anime such as Good Luck Girl! and Urara Meirochō.

Donuts released the "idol-raising rhythm and adventure" game on iOS and Android in 2014. The franchise has also inspired several manga and novel adaptations, as well as CD and concert home video releases.
