Voice actress Kana Ueda revealed on her Twitter account on Monday that she has left the hospital. Ueda also said on her official blog on Sunday that her physical condition is improving, and she is returning to her normal life.
Agency I'm Enterprise announced on Ueda's blog on Friday that she was hospitalized after having to leave an event on Thursday due to her poor health. Ueda added on her Twitter account on Friday that it was the first time in her life that she was hospitalized.
The blog post noted that Ueda's health was already improving due to treatment, but on the advice of her doctor and other related people, she has decided that she will forego her appearance at the Fate/Grand Order U.S.A. Tour 2019 event in Los Angeles later this month. Fellow Fate/Grand Order smartphone game voice actor Satoshi Tsuruoka (Arash, Gilles de Rais, Caligula Spartacus) will take Ueda's place at the event on February 24.
Ueda is perhaps best known for her role as Rin Tohsaka in the Fate/stay night franchise. Her other roles include Yumi Fukuzawa in Maria Watches Over Us, Hayate Yagami in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Mii Konori in A Certain Scientific Railgun, Yuzuki Fuwa in Assassination Classroom, Anastasia Hoshin in Re:Zero, Momo Kawashima in Girls und Panzer, and Ume Aihara in Citrus, among many others.
