posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Sega began streaming a short commercial on Monday for the Kemono Friends 3 arcade and smartphone game. Yuka Ozaki narrates the ad. The video reveals that Sega will host a location test for the game at the Sega Akihabara store in Tokyo on February 2 and 3.
Sega offered a playable version of the "all ages card game" arcade game at the JAEPO event last weekend.

The arcade game is titled Kemono Friends 3: Planet Tours and the smartphone game titled Kemono Friends 3. The smartphone game will be free to play with optional in-game purchases. Both games will launch this year. The smartphone game is accepting pre-registrations now, and because Sega has received more than 10,000 pre-registrations, the company has greenlit a short anime.
Nexon's original Kemono Friends app game launched in early 2016 and ended service in December of that year — before the Kemono Friends anime even aired. The 12-episode television anime then premiered on TV Tokyo and TV Osaka in January 2017 and ended in March 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
Kemono Friends 2, the television anime's second season, premiered in Japan on January 7. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime worldwide outside of Asia.
The franchise has also inspired other smartphone apps, manga, as well as several stage plays. A Kemono Friends Picross game for Nintendo Switch launched in Japan and in the West on October 4.
