Reset Game Manga Gets Live-Action Video
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The official YouTube channel for Comic Smart's free manga website Ganma! began streaming a live-action video for Kanji Yoshikai's Reset Game manga on Wednesday. Yukihiko Tsutsumi directed the video, and Mackenyu plays protagonist Seiichi in the video. The video's description notes that it is a project to mark the fifth anniversary of Ganma!, and the end of the video notes that "a film is absolutely not green-lit."
Ganma! is also streaming behind-the-scenes videos that show the filming and CG production, and an interview video with both Tsutsumi and Mackenyu.
The suspense manga's story begins when Seiichi and his friend Nanako wake up in a white room with no exit. The pair must think of a way out of the room, and a succession of other similar rooms, before they are killed.
Yoshikai launched the manga in Ganma! in July 2014, and Tokuma Shoten published the manga's third compiled book volume in August 2016. The series has more than 7.5 million copies in print.
