'Papa Datte, Shitai' Boys-Love Manga Gets TV Anime

Tokyo MX and ComicFesta announced on Friday that Serina Seo's Papa Datte, Shitai manga is inspiring a television anime series. The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on January 6. A "complete edition" will stream on ComicFesta's Anime Zone website. ComicFesta began streaming a teaser promotional video for the series.
The anime stars:
Masahiro Yamanaka as Kōya Asumi
Junta Terashima as Keiichi Naruse
Nozomi Furuki as Ichika Naruse
In addition, the staff revealed character Ryōhei Yui without a cast member.

The cast will be the same for both versions of the anime.
In the story, Kōya Asumi is a fourth-year college student who works as a housekeeper. Kōya starts working for single father Keiichi Naruse, and a relationship develops between the two.
Misutaka Noshitani (Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita, Sweet Punishment) is directing the series as Magic Bus. Ayumi Saitō (name romanization not confirmed) is writing the script, and Taihei Nagai (animation director for Bakuon!!, ClassicaLoid) is designing the characters. Takahiro Enomoto is sound director, and Studio Mausu is handling sound production. Picante Circus is in charge of production, and Suiseisha is separately credited for production.
Yamanaka and Terashima are performing the theme song "Home sweet Home."
An advance screening and talk event for the anime will be held at Lefkada Shinjuku in Tokyo on December 30. Yamanaka and Terashima will attend the event. The event will have two parts, with the first part screening the regular all-ages version of the anime. The second part will screen the "complete version" and be limited to people over the age of 18.
Suiseisha released the manga's first compiled book volume in May, and the second volume will ship on December 18.
Previous anime to debut through ComicFesta Anime Zone include Sōryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni... in April 2017, Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita in July 2017, Omiai Aite wa Oshiego, Tsuyoki na, Mondaiji. in October 2017, 25-Sai no Joshi Kōsei: Kodomo ni wa Oshierarenai Koto Shite Yaru yo in January, Sweet Punishment in April, Onna no Ko ga Ochita saki wa, Ore no Musuko no Sakippo Deshita in July, and Shūdengo, Capsule Hotel de, Jōshi ni Binetsu Tsutawaru Yoru. in October. The anime have "regular editions" that air on television and "complete editions" with explicit scenes that are available through ComicFesta Anime Zone.
