Capcom Cancels Development of Attack on Titan: Team Battle Arcade Game
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The official website for CAPCOM's Shingeki no Kyojin: Team Battle (Attack on Titan: Team Battle) arcade game announced on Friday that CAPCOM has canceled development on the game.
In a message on the site, CAPCOM noted that it had pursued the goals of making an Attack on Titan game that would "allow players to experience the thrill of soaring through the air using the omni-directional maneuver gear," would feature "unparalleled immersion in the Attack on Titan world," and would have "cooperative and linked play that can only be experienced in the arcade," but found that it could not develop a game to a standard of quality that would be satisfactory for players.
CAPCOM announced the game during the Japan Amusement Expo event in 2016. The game was planned to support single player, but with optional network play so that up to eight players would have been able play in team versus or cooperative modes.
