posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Japanese television channel MBS announced on Sunday that Hyte Torishima's Kono Koi wa Tsumi nanoka!? (Is This Love a Sin!?) manga is getting a live-action television series. The series will have four episodes and will premiere on MBS and TBS' "Dramaism" programming block in December. The series will premiere on MBS on December 3 at 12:50 a.m. and on TBS on December 5 at 1:28 a.m.
The manga centers on a 24-year-old office worker named Taiga Kohinata, who has no experience with love, has no communication skills, and has no purpose in life. While commuting to work one day, through an accident, he meets the child-faced, large-breasted 32-year-old woman Tae Komada, and he experiences love for the first time. They start out as friends, but Taiga soon learns that Tae is a pro shogi player who lives in a very serious world.
Former AKB48 member Yuki Kashiwagi will play Tae Komada, and Kentaro Itō will play Taiga Kohinata. Kashiwagi will also perform the show's opening theme song. Dan Ogawa is directing the show, and Yume Shiozuka is writing the script.
The manga is available on the pixiv Comic website, and also ran in Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior magazine. Shogakukan published the manga's one compiled volume on June 29.
