Dōkyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue. Anime Reveals More Cast, January Premiere

The official website for the television anime of Minatsuki and As Futatsuya's Dōkyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue. (My Housemate Is on My Lap, But Sometimes on My Head) manga revealed additional cast members and the January premiere on Tuesday. The anime will air on Tokyo MX, AT-X, ABC TV, and BS11.
The new cast members are:
- Hiro Shimono as Atsushi Kawase
- Shun Horie as Hiroto Yasaka
- Chika Anzai as Nana Ōkami
- Yoshiki Nakajima as Yūgo Ōkami
- Ayumu Murase as Hachi
- Kenjirō Tsuda as Roku
The main cast stars:
Kaoru Suzuki (Pupipō!, DIVE!!) is directing the anime at Zero-G. Deko Akao (Flying Witch, Amanchu!, Noragami) is in charge of series composition. Masaru Kitao (Death Note, Dances with the Dragons) is designing the characters. Kotoringo (In This Corner of the World) is composing the music.
The manga centers on socially awkward novelist Subaru Mikazuki, who adopts a stray cat. He names it Haru, and they begin their life together. As with the manga, each episode of the anime will have both a "Subaru" and "Haru" chapter that will tackle the story from the point of view of both characters.
Minatsuki and Futatsuya first published a one-shot manga with the same title in Comic Polaris in October 2014, before launching it as a serialized manga in June 2015. Holp Shuppan published the manga's fourth compiled book volume on January 24.
The 2017 edition of Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook ranked the manga as #16 in its top 20 list of manga for female readers in 2016. Honya Club's "Zenkoku Shotenin ga Eranda Osusume Comic 2017" (Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics of 2017) poll for bookstore employees also ranked the comic at #3 in 2017.
