JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's Super-Deformed Character Project Gets Mobile Game This Fall
posted on by Alex Mateo
This year's September issue of Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine revealed on Saturday that Hirohiko Araki's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series is getting a mobile game titled JoJo's Pitter-Patter Pop! this fall. The "JoJo's Pitter-Patter Pop! Chiramise" (JoJo's Pitter-Patter Pop! Peek) teaser app for the game will launch soon.
The teaser app will let users "enjoy the cute movements" of super-deformed characters and take pictures of them. The app will add characters over time following the initial release. The magazine teased that the game app will have different content than the teaser app. Characters will communicate and battle with each other in the game.
The game is part of the JoJo SD Project, which features super-deformed artwork (seen above right) of characters from the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise. The project will also offer merchandise for the super-deformed characters.
The JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken: Ōgon no Kaze (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind or Vento Aureo) anime, which covers the story from the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga's fifth part, will premiere on television in Japan on October 5. The anime already had premiere screening events in Japan, France, and the United States.
