Namu Amida Butsu! -Rendai Utena- Gets Anime in 2019

DMM Games announced at a presentation held at the temple Tokoji in Saitama on Wednesday that its new Namu Amida Butsu! -Rendai Utena- project will receive a television anime in 2019. A promotional video for the anime that previews the main cast and characters debuted at the event.
DMM Games also began streaming a promotional video for the project's game. Pre-registration for the game is available now, and it is slated for release this winter.
The project's cast includes:
Tomoaki Maeno as Bonten (Brahmā)
Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ashura Ō (Asura)
Ryūichi Kijima as Monju Bosatsu (Manjusri)
Yūki Inoue as Kongō Bosatsu (Vajra)
Showtaro Morikubo as Shaka Nyorai (Gautama Buddha)
Tetsuya Kakihara as Dainichi Nyorai (Vairocana)
Mizunaka, Maeno, Suzuki, Morikubo, and Kakihara have been confirmed for the anime by the anime's website.
The story follows the Thirteen Buddha, along with Taishakuten and Bonten, who must confront the evil Māra. Māra seeks revenge against Shaka Nyorai, who had previously saved the world from suffering and conflict by achieving enlightenment.
Akira Oguro (animation director for Cinderella Monogatari, The Brave Command Dagwon) is directing the anime at Asahi Production (You Don't Know Gunma Yet, Million Doll, Himegoto). Erika Yoshida (Trickster, Lupin III: Part IV) is in charge of series composition.
