posted on by Egan Loo
Production I.G announced on Friday that a net anime based on writer Yukari Koyama and artist Eliza Kusakabe's Holiday Love: Fūfukan Ren'ai (Love Between Married Couples) manga has been green-lit. The anime is already streaming on the Anime Beans app for smartphones on Friday.
The story depicts adultery among two married couples. 30-year-old housewife Azu Takamori has opened a nail salon. She feels her husband Junpei does not love her as a woman, but goes about her daily life as normal. Then, Junpei's adultery comes to light.
The cast stars:
- Megumi Tateishi as Azu Takamori
- Masayuki Yamanaka as Junpei Takamori
- Marika Matsumoto as Rina Izutsu
- Yoshihisa Hosokawa as Wataru Izutsu
- Rie Katayama as Nanaka Takamori
- Mana Miyamoto as Reika Sakaguchi
All 20 episodes of the anime are available now, and the first 10 episodes are available to watch for free, along with selected episodes from other anime, from August 3 to August 31.
The manga already inspired a live-action television series that premiered in January. Matsumoto also played Rina Izutsu in the live-action version.
The manga launched on DeNA's free MangaBox app in September 2014. Kodansha published the fifth compiled volume in June 2017. The English version of MangaBox is also serializing the manga.
