This year's 33rd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Saturday that Konami is developing a new game for smartphones titled Weekly Shōnen Jump Jikkyō Janjan Stadium, slated for release this year. The game allows up to four players to fight in matches using characters from more than 39 Weekly Shonen Jump manga, but portrayed in super-deformed style.
The below video introduces the different characters from different decades of Weekly Shonen Jump manga who will appear in the game, from the 1970s to the present. The video also highlights each character's special move.
The game celebrates the magazine's 50th anniversary.
Bandai Namco Entertainment is also working on a separate game titled Jump Force. The game also features playable characters from various Weekly Shonen Jump manga, and also celebrates the magazine's 50th anniversary. Spike Chunsoft is developing the game, and the game will launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in 2019.
