Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs Gets PS4 Game in November

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
"Roguelike" game features original story, same cast as anime

Furyu Corporation announced on Monday that Tadahiro Miura's Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs (Yuragi-sō no Yūna-san) manga will get a PlayStation 4 game adaptation titled Yuragi-sō no Yūna-san: Yukemuri Dungeon (Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs: Steam Dungeon) that will ship in Japan on November 15.

The game will be a single-player "roguelike" game where players explore dungeons, and the game will also feature game-exclusive art and dialog. The game will have a limited-edition release that will include three hug pillow covers, a mini-art book, and download codes for special costumes.

The game will feature an original story that begins with Kogarashi and the others cleaning the Yuragi inn's storehouse after they hear strange noises coming from it. They find a laundry hamper inside the storehouse, but they drop it, destroying a talisman that looks like a seal in the process. The hamper has a miniature garden inside, and a voice emanates from within saying: "Brother, you came back!" All of a sudden, a strong wind begins to blow, Kogarashi is turned into a doll, and is sucked into the garden. Yuuna and the others must brave a series of dungeons to find a way to get Kogarashi back.

The game will feature the same cast as the upcoming anime.

Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the original manga series in English and it describes the story:

Homeless and haunted by ghosts, high schooler Kogarashi thinks his luck has finally turned when he finds Yuragi-sou—a cheap boarding house that was formerly a hot springs inn, now full of super sexy, scantily clad female tenants. If Kogarashi can use his spirit abilities to banish the ghost that haunts the inn, he can even live there rent-free! But when the ghost, a beautiful teenage girl named Yuuna, appears before him, Kogarashi takes pity on her and is suddenly not so sure about the exorcism. Will he help save Yuuna from becoming an evil spirit? And what supernatural secrets do the other boarders hold?

The television anime will premiere in Japan on July 14 at 11:30 p.m. Aniplex of America will stream the series on Crunchyroll starting on July 14.

The manga launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2016.
