Voice Actor Denis Akiyama Passes Away at 66

Actor and voice actor Denis Akiyama passed away on Thursday, June 28. He was 66.
Visitations will be held at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre in Toronto, Ontario on July 4 at 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. His funeral will take place on July 5 at 1:00 p.m. A memorial website has been set up for memorial testimonies, photos, and information on Akiyama's funeral service.
In anime, Akiyama voiced characters in Medabots, Power Stone, and Sailor Moon (as Malachite). He played a fictionalized version of game designer Toru Iwatani in the film Pixels. He has also voice acted in such games as Onimusha (Nobunaga Oda, Narrator), Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Tong Si Hung), and Rainbow Six: Vegas (Kan Akahashi). He additionally played Soldat in the Resident Evil: Afterlife live-action film.
