Musical Duo Yuzu Perform New Crayon Shin-chan Theme Song

The official website for the Crayon Shin-chan anime announced on Thursday that the musical duo YUZU will perform the new theme song "Muscat" for the anime. The new theme song will debut on the show in the episode that will air on July 6.
The duo previously provided the theme song for the Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora no Hikkoshi Monogatari ~Saboten Daishūgeki (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: My Story About Moving ~The Great Cactus Attack~) 2015 anime film.
TV Asahi has been airing the Crayon Shin-chan anime based on Yoshito Usui's manga of the same name since 1992. The show is consistently one of the most watched anime series in Japan. The anime also has a series of 25 films. The latest film, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Bakumori! Kung-Fu Boys ~Ramen Tairan~ (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Bakumori! Kung-Fu Boys Ramen Rebellion), opened in Japan on April 13, and it ranked #2 in the Japanese box office in its opening weekend.
Akiko Yajima recently announced her departure from the role of the show's protagonist Shinnosuke Nohara earlier this month. Yumiko Kobayashi will be the new voice actress for the character. The last episode featuring Yajima's voice acting will premiere on June 29, and Kobayashi will make her debut on the show in the episode that will air on July 6. After the June 29 episode, Yajima will have voiced the character for 26 years and three months.
