posted on by Karen Ressler
This year's 29th issue of Kodansha's Young Magazine resumed Jasmine Gyuh's Back Street Girls comedy manga on Monday. The magazine's 16th issue had announced on March 19 that the manga was taking a hiatus.
The manga launched in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine in March 2015. Kodansha published the manga's 11th compiled volume on June 6. The manga has more than 450,000 copies in print.
The manga centers on three yakuza men who are forced by their boss, who is also a producer, to become an idol group, and the difficulties they face hiding their true selves from their fans.
An anime adaptation will premiere on July 3.
