Tonegawa Anime Reveals More Cast Members, Character Designs

The staff for the anime of the Kaiji spinoff manga Chūkan Kanriroku Tonegawa (Middle Management Chronicle Tonegawa) revealed additional cast for the anime on Friday, and also revealed character designs for some of the new and previously revealed cast.
The current cast with character designs include:
Toshiyuki Morikawa as protagonist Yukio Tonegawa
Masatane Tsukayama as Kazutaka Hyōdō
Wataru Hatano as Kenji Yamazaki
Nobunaga Shimazaki as Jirō Saemonsaburō
Taku Yashiro as Ebitani
Kōtarō Nishiyama as Toshimasa Kawasaki (left) and Daiki Hamano as Nakata (right)
Rikiya Koyama as Gonda (left) and Takuya Eguchi as Kōji Dōshita (right)
Akira Ishida as Keiichi Ogino (left) and Kengo Kawanishi as Junichi Hagio (right)
Chiharu Sawashiro as Nagata (left) and Takaya Aoyagi as Kikuchi (right)
Other cast members include:
- Masato Hagiwara as Kaiji Itō (reprising role from previous Kaiji anime
- Rena Maeda as Saeko Nishiguchi
- Takuma Terashima as Ataru Yaotome
- Atsushi Miyauchi as Yoshihiro Kurosaki
- Kenjirō Tsuda as Yūji Endō
- Daisuke Namikawa as Seiya Ichijō
- Akio Ohtsuka as Masayan
The anime will premiere in July on NTV's "AnichU" programming block. Madhouse (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, Overlord) will produce the anime.
The manga focuses on the "agonizing daily life of Teiai Group executive Yukio Tonegawa, who gets into conflicts with Hyōdō and the black suits."
The manga launched in Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine in 2015 with collaboration from Kaiji creator Nobuyuki Fukumoto. The manga switched to Kodansha's Comic Days manga app on March 5. Tensei Hagiwara is writing the series, and Tomohiro Hashimoto and Tomoki Miyoshi are providing the art. Kodansha published the sixth compiled book volume last November. The series ranked at #1 on the top 20 list of manga for male readers in the 2017 edition of Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook.
