Bandai Namco Entertainment America began streaming a launch trailer for its Dark Souls: Remastered game on Wednesday. The game launched on Thursday in Japan on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and will launch on Friday in North America and Europe.
The Switch version of the game, along with the Solaire amiibo, will ship this summer.
The HD remaster will include the main game and the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. Players will be able to build their own characters with many weaponry, armor, magic, and crafting options. Players will be able to team up or fight against each other in groups of up to six people among nine covenants online with dedicated servers.
Bandai Namco Entertainment released the Dark Souls III game in Japan in March 2016, and the game launched in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in April 2016. The game set Bandai Namco Entertainment's record for most successful day-one sales, and Bandai Namco Entertainment America's record for fastest-selling game.
