Tonegawa Anime Reveals Additional Cast Members

The staff for the anime of the Kaiji spinoff manga Chūkan Kanriroku Tonegawa (Middle Management Chronicle Tonegawa) revealed additional cast for the anime on Wednesday. The cast includes:
- Masato Hagiwara as Kaiji Itō (reprising role from previous Kaiji anime
- Wataru Hatano as Kenji Yamazaki
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Jirō Saemonsaburō
- Taku Yashiro as Ebitani
- Kōtarō Nishiyama as Toshimasa Kawasaki
- Daiki Hamano as Nakata
- Takuya Eguchi as Kōji Dōshita
- Kengo Kawanishi as Junichi Hagio
- Takaya Aoyagi as Kikuchi
- Chiharu Sawashiro as Nagata
- Rena Maeda as Saeko Nishiguchi
- Masatane Tsukayama as Kazuta Hyōdō
Toshiyuki Morikawa (Naruto Shippūden's Minato Namikaze, Inuyasha's Naraku, The Ancient Magus' Bride's Simon) will voice protagonist Yukio Tonegawa in the anime.
The anime will premiere in July on NTV's "AnichU" programming block.
Madhouse (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, Overlord) will produce the anime.
The manga focuses on the "agonizing daily life of Teiai Group executive Yukio Tonegawa, who gets into conflicts with Hyōdō and the black suits."
The manga launched in Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine in 2015 with collaboration from Kaiji creator Nobuyuki Fukumoto. It switched to Kodansha's Comic Days manga app on March 5. Tensei Hagiwara is writing the series, and Tomohiro Hashimoto and Tomoki Miyoshi are providing the art. Kodansha published the sixth compiled book volume last November. The series ranked at #1 on the top 20 list of manga for male readers in the 2017 edition of Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook.
