Actor, Comedian Chuck McCann Passes Away

Actor, voice actor, comedian, and children's television show host Chuck McCann passed away due to congenital heart failure on Sunday in Los Angeles. He was 83.
Born in 1934, McCann joined the entertainment industry through children's programming in the 1960s, hosting various New York children's programs such as The Chuck McCann Show. He went on to act in television shows such as Knots Landing and Boston Legal, and made his film debut with The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter before going on to star in The Projectionist. He has also played roles in The Comeback Trail, Herbie Rides Again, and Robin Hood: Men In Tights, among other films.
As a voice actor, his many credits include Cool McCool, Powerpuff Girls, Fantastic Four (1994), DuckTales, Adventure Time, and the Pac-Man animated series. From 1962 to 1978, he was the voice of Sonny the Cuckoo Bird for Coco Puffs cereal commercials.
McCann served as a producer on the English version of Toei Animation's Fables from Hans Christian Andersen film, where he also voiced Uncle Oley.
