posted on by Karen Ressler
Hidekichi Matsumoto launched a new serialization titled Inu to Neko Docchi mo Katteru to Mainichi Tanoshii (Every Day is Fun When You Own Either a Cat or Dog) on Kodansha and pixiv's new "Palcy" manga app along with the app's prerelease last week. Matsumoto has has been publishing short manga with the descriptor "Inu to Neko Docchi mo Katteru to" on her Twitter since at least February 2017. Each post features one comic about her dog and one about her cat.
The Palcy app features both new series and past Kodansha manga. Chapters will be short, 10-20 pages, so one can be read in under five minutes. Ageha Saotome's Jūshiki no Pandora 0 manga is also launching on the app. The full app will launch this summer.
Matsumoto began Survival Game Club! (Sabagebu!) in 2011 and ended the series in December. The manga inspired a 12-episode television anime series and an OVA episode in 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the series, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for North America. Sentai Filmworks released DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions of the anime in September 2015.
Matsumoto is also serializing Neko Iro Hokenshitsu (Cat-Type School Infirmary) in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine.
