God Eater Resonant Ops RPG App Reveals Spring Release, Anime Shorts Adaptation

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on Monday that its God Eater Resonant Ops smartphone role-playing game will launch on iOS and Android devices this spring. The game will be free to play and will have optional in-game items that cost extra.
The company also announced that the game is inspiring a "short anime project" titled "God Eater Resonantoka Gekijō." (God Eater Reso-Something-or-Other Theater). Paraco Sasahara is directing the anime and is also handling the series composition. Passione and Creators in Pack are animating the series, and DMM.futureworks is credited with animation cooperation. Katsuzō Hirata is the animation character designer, and Taichi Hatanaka is the animation producer.
Bandai Namco Entertainment is also hosting a design contest for the app for three categories: costumes, God Arcs, and Aragami. The deadline is March 4.
God Eater Resonant Ops' story moves the setting "at long last" toward the Fenrir Headquarters, four years after God Eater 2 Rage Burst in the year 2078. The cast and their characters include:

The God Eater franchise will also host an eighth anniversary event on March 24.
God Eater Online, the first smartphone MMORPG in the franchise launched in Japan in February 2017. The latest main game in the God Eater franchise, God Eater 3, is set for a release in Japan, Asia, Europe, and in the Americas.
The God Eater game franchise inspired a 13-episode television anime series in 2015. Aniplex of America released the anime with an English dub on Blu-ray Disc in two sets in November 2016 and January 2017.
