King of Prism by PrettyRhythm Party Time Manga Ends

The February issue of Square Enix's GFantasy magazine published the final chapter Sumika Sumio's KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm Party Time manga on Thursday. The manga's one compiled volume will ship on March 27.
The manga is based on the KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm film. Sumio launched the manga on November 17. The film's original scriptwriter Jou Aoba is credited with the manga's original plan.
KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm opened in Japan in January 2016, and was a spinoff of the Pretty Rhythm franchise that centered on the boys unit "Over the Rainbow." The film initially launched in 14 theaters, but eventually opened in more than 130 theaters after its popularity spread, selling about 460,000 tickets for about 800 million yen (about US$7.8 million).
A new sequel film titled King of Prism: PRIDE the HERO opened in Japan on June 10. The film sold 47,000 tickets to earn 82 million yen (about US$746,000) in its opening weekend. The anime debuted at #7 at the box office.
