The iDOLM@STER's Yumi Hara Puts Singing Career on Hiatus

Actress and singer Yumi Hara announced on her Nico Nico Livestream program "Hara Yumi no Maru Maru Hōsōkyoku" on Wednesday that she is putting her singing career on hiatus to focus on voice acting. Her upcoming album YOU&ME will be her last album, and it is slated for release on March 14.
Hara's major voice acting debut role was the character Takane Shijō from The IDOLM@STER franchise. The character debuted in The IDOLM@STER SP: Wandering Star game, and eventually became a key character for the franchise. As her character, Hara has performed solo and group songs for the franchise, and she also played the character in the anime.
Outside of The IDOLM@STER franchise, Hara made her debut as a solo singer with her "HANABI" single in 2012. She has released a total of nine singles, and her latest single, "If you...," debuted on January 25. She has performed songs for the Dusk maiden of Amnesia, Corpse Party: Tortured Souls, Trinity Seven, and Shomin Sample anime.
She has also voiced roles in such anime as Dusk maiden of Amnesia (Yūko Kanoe), Log Horizon (Marielle), Trinity Seven (Lilith Asami), Overlord (Albedo), Utawarerumono: The False Faces (Atui), Anne-Happy (Kodaira-sensei), Ange Vierge (Almaria), Brave Witches (Aleksandra I. Pokryshkin), Chaos;Child (Yui Tachibana), and Love Tyrant (Shikimi Shiramine).
