Kodansha USA Releases Taamo's 'I'm in Love and It's the End of the World' Manga Digitally

Kodansha Comics released the first volume of Taamo's Chikyū no Owari wa Koi no Hajimari manga digitally in English under the title I'm in Love and It's the End of the World on Tuesday.

Kodansha Comics describes the story:

Mahiru Yanase's twin sister, Mayo, has it all—she's cute, sweet, and popular. Mahiru, on the other hand … has always been the other Yanase. All her life, Mahiru's reminded herself that every time something good happens to her, something bad comes along to balance it out. She never gets her hopes up … but no sooner does she arrive for her first day of high school than Aoi Satomi, her handsome, mysterious classmate, takes an interest in her—and by the end of the day, he's already asked her out! If things don't balance out for Mahiru soon, the world's going to come to an end!

Taamo launched the manga in Kodansha's Dessert magazine in November 2014 and ended it last month. Kodansha will publish the manga's fifth and final compiled book volume on December 13.

Taamo launched her House of the sun. (Taiyō no Ie) manga in 2010 in Dessert magazine, and ended it in January 2015. She then serialized a short spinoff manga from February to March 2015. The original manga won the shōjo category of the 38th Kodansha Awards in 2014. Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga digitally in English.
