Capcom Reveals New Puzzle Fighter Smartphone Game for Late 2017

CAPCOM announced last week that its CAPCOM Vancouver division is developing a new game titled Puzzle Fighter for iOS and Android devices. The game will launch in late 2017.
The game includes characters such as Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li (Street Fighter), X (Mega Man), Morrigan (Darkstalkers), and Frank West and Chuck Greene (Dead Rising). The player can choose one main character and two assist characters that each have their own strengths and special abilities.
CAPCOM previously released a similar game titled Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo in 1996. The game similarly features a crossover cast from their various franchises (the title is a parody of Super Street Fighter II Turbo, and does not indicate the existence of other Puzzle Fighter games). CAPCOM later took the 2D sprites from that game and made it into a fighting game titled Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix (Pocket Fighter) in 1997.
