Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on Tuesday that it and Arc System Works will delay the closed beta signups outside Japan for their Dragon Ball FighterZ 2D fighting game to August 22. Bandai Namco Entertainment noted that it delayed the signups to accommodate more players in the closed beta. The original date for the signups was scheduled for Wednesday, July 26.
The closed beta will take place on September 16 to 18. Signups for the closed beta in Japan have begun. The test will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will have nine playable characters available.
The playable cast includes Goku (Super Saiyan), Teen Gohan (Super Saiyan 2), Vegeta (Super Saiyan), Future Trunks (Super Saiyan), Freeza (Final Form, Golden Freeza), Cell (Perfect Form), Krillin, and Piccolo.
Bandai Namco Entertainment America describes the game:
Arc System Works delivers an explosive, action-packed game that combines classic 2D fighting with advanced 3D character models that look and feel as if they are ripped straight out of the DRAGON BALL series.
The three-versus-three fighting game will arrive on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2018.
